Sys Eng lectures good

I continue to find the sys eng lectures significantly better than the readings, and am impressed by Professor Frey's continuous attempts the tailor the content to the software folks. On Thursday, we are going to look at software testing, very cool. Today's lecture was definitely interesting, if only because it contained a baseball analogy.

Phew....don't need to brief MITRE, just the architecture council.

Testing is cool? You've been at MITRE too long. But it IS far better than, say, axiomatic design.

The speaker was engaging, really, not as much the content. I liked that he called it by its simple name (goal seek) rather than its ridiculously long name (isoperformance). Doesn't take much to make me happy sometimes. Other times....

Actually today's lecture was the best so far. In fact it made the whole summer of attending 8:30 lectures worth it! I'm so glad I didn't miss this one. The prof discussed many google relevant topics. It was awesome.

I saw the video, and couldn't disagree more, but to each their own opinion. Let me know next time you present something with the Expected Value Operator to senior management, and I'll buy you dinner.

Ha! Yoav couldn't see through my biting cynicism. Ilana and I were going to blog about how great the lecture was today just because you weren't in the class. I found the content to be about in line with the rest of the semester -- not very relevant to me personally. It has been hard to pull even small nuggets out of this class that I can apply.

Ooh that's an evil scheme!!! I love it!! You two are good.

In all honesty, I did find the lecture to be decent, and am really impressed by how Prof Frey tries to tailor the material.
